Fremont beats Skyline to move to 2-1 in OAL

The Tigers beat Skyline on a last-minute drive on Friday in front of a large homecoming crowd at Skyline High. Sione Moli scored on a 6-yard run to take the lead with six seconds remaining, then bounced into the endzone again for the ensuing two-point conversion to make the score 23-20. Moli had 169 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the win. Fremont travels to Oakland Tech next Saturday, November 5, then hosts Castlemont for homecoming the following week.

Fremont is 1-1 in league play

After losing to McClymonds in its home opener last week, the Tiger football team got its first win of the season at Oakland High. Quarterback Gregory Pierson injected a shot of adrenaline into the offense in his first start, while the defense allowed no points in a 14-2 win.

Fremont 0, Liberty 40

The Liberty Lions proved too much for the Tigers this week, dominating in a shutout performance. No way to spin this one, but Fremont will take its patented running game to the rough-and-tumble Oakland Athletic League, where anything can happen.

Fremont 6, Clayton Valley 31

Fremont saw positive contributions from sophomore quarterback Azel Grasty and senior running back Sione Moli, but their efforts weren't enough to defeat the Clayton Valley Eagles on Friday night. Thanks to all the fans who came out to support - it was certainly our largest crowd in recent memory! Next week we travel to Brentwood to play Liberty High School. Be there.

Fremont 0, Miramonte 30

The Tigers had a tough game this week at Miramonte, losing by 30. However, there were enough bright spots that the team has their heads up heading into our game on Friday vs. Clayton Valley. After a close loss last year in the final seconds of the game, Fremont is looking for revenge!

Chowchilla game cancelled

Too few players have completed physicals and other necessary paperwork to play our scheduled game against Chowchilla. The game, which was slated for Saturday, September 3, has been cancelled. We apologize to the fans and most importantly to Chowchilla High School for the cancellation, and we hope to be playing again soon.
